[ Thank the cosmic powers you actually exchanged numbers before the Hotel Fen shitshow went down! Also, what in the Nine Worlds is your ringback tone, V?? It's distracting enough at least, so she doesn't freak out entirely.
Once he picks up: ] Victor. [ She's trying not to sound panicky, but from the dark void and the creepy voice and the disorientation and the glaringly bright neon lights, she can't help it. ] Thank God. Where are you?
[ There's nothing to be more grateful for than the small things that had worked out before everything had turned into their own personal horror movie. Wanting to get that second date before they'd even begun. He's crushed that you don't know the intro to Enter Sandman, S! Of course, it was picked before everything with dreams and things too.
It takes him a second to answer his phone because he's actually confused that his phone is ringing here. But there's a soft sigh of relief for who it is, praying she's here too/ ] Silje. [ Just her name has all that relief from hearing her voice, that she's at least okay enough to use the phone. But his mind goes back to that bite from Fen and he's still worried about her. ] Some hotel, first floor... Where are you? I'll come to you.
[ Because sorry, but he's not real interested in staying in a hotel room on his own. Thanks, strange world. ]
A hotel... [ There's only one direction her mind has gone, and there's a groan as she forces herself to push away from the wall and get walking. Not that she knows where to. ] Please tell me you're still in Norway. [ While she doesn't want to be alone, she doesn't want to risk exposing him to whatever this new trap she's found herself in. For what else could this place be if not a trap, if not another one of Loki's schemes? She'd tried using the maps app on her phone to check where she is, and she'd only gotten an error; the other device she hasn't found yet. ]
[ He knows a little, not a lot. It might be time to change it out though, all things considered. ]
Based on the sheer neon of where I am, I'm going to say no, I'm most definitely not in Norway. [ He shifts and slips out of the room he's been assigned. Based on the two beds, he's sure he does or will have a roommate, at yet that doesn't make him feel better. Not if that person isn't Silje. So he moves through the hotel and out the door so he's at least standing on the street. ] Are you still in Norway? Are you safe? [ Safe is relative, he's sure, all things considered. ]
[ There's a sound out of her that's most probably a curse when he says neon. ] The Northern Lights weren't neon, last time I checked. [ Not the time, Silje. But at least she's not joking about talking to hotels anymore? ]
I'm in some alleyway. There are signs on the establishments nearby but I can't read them. [ So she snaps some photos instead and sends them over. Not that she's sure they would help.
Is she safe? I don't see any wolves, she almost says, but doesn't. She doesn't want to jinx them, like she did the last time. ]
[ Part of him wishes he had better news for her, but part of him is expecting her to be somewhere in this neon city with him because their phones are working. He doubts if one of them were still stuck in Norway while the other was here, their phones wouldn't actually be working to connect, because real world to a simulation doesn't seem likely. ] They are not, last time I checked either, no. [ There's the softest hint of amusement at her joke leaks into his voice, because while she can't help the mild joke, he can't help give her a little appreciation for the effort. And to be fair, she's not insulting the city.
Please don't, Silje.
He looks at the photos, his side of the line going quiet for a moment though she'll be able to hear him breathing on the other end of the line to show that he hasn't hung up on her. Though he's frowning as he looks around. ] Well, I am nearly positive we're in the same neon city at least because it looks similar to the buildings near me. Now we need to see if we can navigate the city enough to meet up.
[ He does notice that she hasn't actually answered he question about if she's safe, which doesn't really sooth him at all. But he won't ask it again because he can see for himself once he finds her. ]
I tried Maps. Doesn't work. [ Just to save him some time and effort from attempting to do so. ] What does this hotel of yours look like? The building tall enough? [ It might be easier for her to find him instead of the other way around.
There's the sound of her moving, and a soft intake of breath from a jolt of pain on her side. ]
I was just going to try that. [ With the question about his building, he takes a look up at it and shoots a picture of it for her, sending it on. ] Picture of it sent. It's called the Proxy Hotel. Maybe one of the people who look like they're from the city can give you directions?
[ His eyes close at that intake of breath, because he knows what it means without having to ask. ] How bad is your side? [ Not if it's bothering her, but how bad is it bothering her? ]
[ More shuffling, with the background noise starting to get louder as she turns into a street that's bustling with more activity compared to the alleyway she'd just found herself in. And while she's not deliberately avoiding his question, an NPC soon comes into her view that she drops it in favor of hailing the stranger. ]
Excuse me, where is the Proxy Hotel? [ A beat, and then the person must not have understood her, because she shifts to Norwegian. ] Hvor er Proxy Hotel? Denne... denne. [ She sounds further away, so she must be showing her phone or something.
A moment later, she's back, and she sighs in exasperation. ] Whatever they're speaking here, it's neither of our languages. I might as well be talking to Bob. [ You know, that Minion with the teddy bear? Of course she knows that franchise. Agnes loves unicorn. ]
[ He's quiet as he listens to her and everything going on through the phone to try and get a sense of her movements. Also trying to hear whatever she might be told on her end through the open line. It's not that he forgot that she'd not answered his question yet, but at the same time the first step is to get to her, or her to him.
Once they're together again, then he'll insist she answer his question regarding her side. Because he in concerned about how bad she's hurting. Neither of them are healing like they would have in their first life, or well her second technically. And after everything he's far more protective than he probably should be, but he can't help it either.
A soft growl leaves him when she comes back, offering that the language of the natives isn't something either will understand. Because really, that's just perfect. ] So we're stuck god knows how many blocks away, with minions running the show. [ Yes, he's well aware of that movie too, and the franchise, so he gets the reference easily. ] Do you want to try and stay and me come to you so we don't push your side too much more? [ Yes, he's still worried about your side. Maybe if she stays put and he tries to figure out the streets, he can work this out. His chest aches, but it doesn't pull with steps and movements the way the side would. ]
We're not in your dreamscape again, are we? [ Because all the neon and the Minion gibberish? Very trippy. Though if they were in his dreamscape, she'd have been able to conjure things by now. Alas, she has no godmodding powers here — wherever here even is.
She sighs. ] Ja, I think that's for the best. [ She might be able to out-stubborn him, but that's going to be one hell of a fight and she doesn't have the energy for that right now. ] Wait, let me just... send you some more pictures.
[ She snaps a few more shots of her immediate surroundings. Hopefully, he'll be able to narrow down her location somehow. She'll feel much better once they're together again. ]
My dreamscape can get a little off the wall and anime ish but I'm pretty sure this isn't the dreamscape. I wouldn't have both of us injured if it were. [ Because at least that he'd be able to kind of control, maybe. They'd be whole, or at least a lot further along in the healing. And they'd be together, not far apart.
He takes a look at the photos she sent him as he nods, not that she can see it. ] Okay, I'm going to try and find you, I think one of the buildings looks a little familiar around the corner in front of me.
[ There are soft comments as he wanders the street as he tries to find her, to find where the photos were taking. It's not long before she might finally see him down the street, one hand resting over his wound. Walking hasn't been great for it, but his is a little less intense than hers, so it makes sense for him to do the travelling. ]
You know that's not how it works. [ Or, well, he probably doesn't know. She's the Valkyrie here, even if she doesn't remember much about that life just yet. ]
I'll wait under this large neon sign. [ One more photo for him, just to be sure. ] I hope you're not too far, I don't want you overexerting yourself. [ Says the girl who's probably more injured than he is, if the way she's talking and pausing between words is any indication.
She gives him a small wave with the hand not pressing into her side when he comes into view. ]
You have more experience with this than I do. [ He has no qualms with acknowledging that he doesn't know something she would. It's natural for Valkyries to have different abilities than the gods. He's guessing though, so please let him know.
He takes a look at the photo as he moves to find the sign out in the street, and he doesn't get to answer her before they finally reunite. And while she asks to see his wound, he catches her to bring her into a gentle hug as he presses a kiss to her temple. ]
My wound is okay, but you look like you need to rest. How bad are you hurting?
[ She's his top priority. ]

[ The recording is of a young boy's voice, hushed as though in prayer. A voice they both know, because it's that of their son from their first life, Henrik.
"May you take your place in the halls of Valhalla, where the brave will live forever. We love you, Mother. Father says he loves you very much, too." ]
He's from a fairly popular tv show, like main character popular show. If it's not just a name coincidence, like, just just happens to share the name with the character? But... didn't you mention that he had some wolf that came to your defense when you were getting him inside?
I'll be right there with food for both of us. I can stay around if you don't mind the company.
Depends on how old he is, and what time period he comes from. But it could be. Is he awake to answer questions more than his name?
In the show, Jon Snow has a wolf head handle on his sword to represent his family crest. Jolene would question, is he just a cosplayer or something. But the very real stab wounds...
[ How can he be Jon Snow though? Or really, is that even a question anymore. ]
I can take a look at him, see if he looks familiar from the show at least. Once someone can, we can drag you home and to bed. You need your rest.
Hopefully given some rest he'll remember more soon enough. But at least he's safe and you got him the care he needed.
Less the two of us, more, about ten of us in a room with popcorn, pizza, and beer as we took bets on what would happen that episode. Coupled with a drinking game based on certain events that might crop up.
But I'd be happy to have you snuggle into my side and we can watch it if you'd like? Maybe with some of that cake your pantry keeps making appear?
[ He doesn't want you to be jealous of Jolene, Silje. She's just a friend, and he'll swear it to you until you believe him. ]
I promise not to fanboy over him. Well, to be fair, neither did the character in the show I'm thinking of.
Once he's well enough to get to his room and be released, we can get him to his assigned room safely too. Make sure he settles in well if you'd like. I know you worry over your patients.
doesn't that show have a lot of violence and nudity
[ Two things of which they are no strangers to, ironically enough. ]
thank you, i'd appreciate the help if we have people here from other planets and the far future who's to say there aren't people here who are from the past and from tv shows
i think you'll be interested in his sword, it looks legit except for the wolf's head
It does have a lot of violence and nudity, yes. But it also has a lot of action and sword fights and dragons?
[ Which, well, one of those things they didn't have in their strange lives. ]
I mean, while he may be from a tv show in our world, who's to say that in his world we'd be characters in a book or something. We already have alternate timelines for some people too, after all.
Another wolf's head, of course. Though if he's from the show, it's because the house sigil is a direwolf.
[ Part of him worries a little when it takes her a while to get back to him. Curious if something else is wrong, but he also knows that her job can occasionally pull her attention away from things. ]
There is, yes, Margaery Tyrell. Why, is she here too?
I'm not sure. I can't speak for Jeyne much, but it's sounded like Jon's not sure how to take his brother gone again. I'd heard Robb was gone back home for him.

i'm taking off for a few hours to bring jeyne ice cream and hang around for a bit and i asked jon if he wanted some he suggested a movie night?? but i have to go back to the hospital eventually
I can host a movie night for them both. Not sure if they need a chaperone, but might be easier for them if I host it so they don't have to fiddle too much with the electronics.
Do you wanna walk them over so I can steal a kiss before you have to get back then?
have a call from your non-svelte phone
Once he picks up: ] Victor. [ She's trying not to sound panicky, but from the dark void and the creepy voice and the disorientation and the glaringly bright neon lights, she can't help it. ] Thank God. Where are you?

pls tell me this isn't him

I would like to think that he wouldn't be that obvious about it being him. He did call himself something else and pretend not to be himself last time?
But I don't like that he's using that as his screenname on the networks either...

we remember
on the matter of jon snow
don't know if you saw my post but someone just told me my new patient might be from a tv show
does his name ring any bells
